It’s always brilliant to have a positive vibe around a sporting event and our Swimming Carnival was no exception. Students from Years 3 – 6 cheered for their teammates from the stands with every competitor eager to participate and earn points for their House team! It didn’t matter what individual skill levels were like or how much training students had in the pool, there was an event organised for everybody.
These ranged from 18m noodle, kickboard and freestyle events through to 25m freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Additionally, there were several 50m races as well as a 25m medley and freestyle relay events.
This event would not have been successful without the encouragement of parents and the assistance of volunteers, Sport Captains and teaching staff. We extend a very big thank you to Toby Durden and his family for organising the events and coordinating the timetable for this carnival.
Overall, the day was a huge success with Parkes House being the overall victors on the day. Well done to everybody for their participation!
