The school’s Digital Citizenship Agreement was distributed to all families last week and we hope you have had a chance to discuss with your child/ren.  The four descriptions we are using to help educate our students are RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, REASONING and RESILIENCE which comes from the Office of eSafety online safety resources.  The digital world is a complex and constantly changing space – often it is parents who struggle to keep up and adjust more than our young people.

In order to help parents navigate the online world and protect their children the government has put together a fantastic parent resource.  It also has plenty of tips and practical steps to help your child/ren explore safely and manage online issues should they arise.  Go to iParent https://www.esafety.gov.au/education-resources/iparent

We will be holding Cyber Safety Information sessions next Term for both students and parents.  Student session will be on Friday April 26th at 9.45am for Years 4 – 6 and a Parent information session on Wednesday May 1st at 6.30pm.
