Dear families

We have had another busy but wonderful start to the term. We look forward to many things this term – especially our Community Market for Mother’s Day on Saturday 11 May. Please join us for this wonderful day of fun and bring your friends. This is GLC St John’s major fundraiser for the year, aiming to raise funds to resurface our hard play areas.

ANZAC Day 2019 was well attended with approximately 150 visitors participating in the commemorative service held at the school. The Library captains excelled themselves in their conduct and running of the afternoon. This year Quinn and Grace read their outstanding poems about ANZAC followed by the ode being read by guest Mr Mike Seaman.

Our St John’s Captains, Daisy and Ashmeet, also represented our campus at the Dawn service at the Boer War Memorial on ANZAC Day.

Year 4 Camp

Our Year 4 students have recently enjoyed their camp to Hamilton, staying at Good Shepherd College and enjoying the many unique agricultural experiences. We are very grateful to our wonderful parents who come along to support our students and teachers and arrive back to school smiling.

Cyber Safety

Cyber Safety continues to be something that all families are confronted with at some point and we are pleased to remind parents that there will be a Parent session at a future date in the school hall. It is a valuable session that will highlight ways to keep children safe online and also have any questions answered. i
