F.A.Q

1. How long has St John’s existed?

St John’s commenced on this site in 1962 with 47 pupils. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2012.

2. How many students are at St John’s?

Enrolments in 2013 are close to 300 students, ranging from 4 Year Old Kindergarten to Year 6.

3. Do we have to be Lutheran?

No, but Lutherans are given a high priority when places are offered.

4. What is “Lutheran”?

A Lutheran is a Christian person who believes the truths of God’s Word as written in the Holy Bible. In doing this we confess the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To be a confessional Lutheran is to be one who honours the Word of God and believes the confessional writings of the Lutheran Church as summarized in Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. Hand-in-hand with our commitment to pure teaching and confession of the faith, is, and always must be, our equally strong commitment to reaching out boldly with the Gospel and speaking God’s truth to the world.
